INDUSTRIAL SWPPP

Stockton Sulfur Prill Facility, Martin Operating Partnership, LP, Stockton, CA

Project Description:

Havasu Consulting provided industrial Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) consulting services in support of on-going environmental and regulatory compliance at the Stockton Sulfur Prill Facility, in Stockton, California.  The Stockton Sulfur Prill Facility accepts molten sulfur generated from petroleum distillation and processes it to produce pelletized sulfur prill.  The seasonal rainwater and residual water from processing in the presence of sulfur creates an acidic run off water that is then collected on site, processed to increase pH and then reused in the prilling process.  Havasu Consulting reviewed and assessed previous annual SWPPPs, conducted a site visit, and used the gathered information to provide an updated annual SWPPP for the facility.  The runoff and reuse process at the facility required a special water balance calculation and report which was also reviewed and amended as needed.
